About the Vacancy:
Web-Translations is looking to recruit a Project Coordinator to work as part of a Production team within a young, dynamic translation and web service company.
The Project Coordinator will support Project Managers to deliver high-quality, fast-turnaround translations to our growing client base. This involves assisting Project Managers in the day to day organisation of projects and on-going management of customer accounts.
The successful candidate will liaise with clients, translators and other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget and that the client is always very satisfied with the service they receive.
The role has good career progression opportunities, six monthly pay reviews and full on-the-job training is provided.
Main duties:
- Find suitable translators, of a good standard of skill, capable of delivering to tight deadlines
- Raise purchase orders and ensure that projects are prepared adequately so that translators are able to do a good job
- Answer translator questions
- Correspond with clients
- Daily update of the project database system
- Work with our online project management portal delegating tasks to suppliers
- Raise invoices for completed work (The most satisfying part of completing a project)
- Assist with preparing quotations and prices for projects
Required Skills:
- Excellent organisational skills
- Fluent in a foreign language
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent PC literacy
- Touch typing rate of over 40 words per minute
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Loyal and hard working
- Motivated team player
- Tenacious with a good eye for detail
Desirable Skills:
- Experience preferred of using HTML
- Experience of an office based, dynamic customer service role is desirable
Required qualifications:
- GCSE English grade B or above (or equivalent qualification)
- CLAIT (or some PC literacy qualification)
- Educated to degree level - preferably language or IT/Computing related
