2008’s leading event for internet business and the digital marketing sector, Internet World, is now but a fond memory. Having taken place at Earls Court between 29th April and 1st May, the exhibition was nothing short of a bubbling hotbed of activity for Web Translations’ three representatives.
With over 200 seminar sessions, a world-class Keynote Programme and over 13, 000 visitors passing through the famous venue, there was no down time at all for our team. Marketing Manager, Cassandra Oliver; New Business Consultant, Andrew Parkes and MD, Daniel Rajkumar all worked tirelessly to raise the profile of Web-Translations and to increase awareness about the world of opportunities which await following an investment in multilingual content.
Attendees were quick to realize the potential in investing in foreign markets and, as such, Web-Translations is already working with some newly acquired clients as a result of the exhibition. Back in the office and following up leads in earnest, the calls are flying in from people who cleared us out of our famous domain name posters and new brochures, eager to learn more about our award winning services.
Relative newcomer to the company, Andrew, comments:
“It was great to meet so many people who were really enthusiastic about the services and products we could offer to help them increase their website’s international visibility and turnover. The place was packed out and I haven’t stopped since we got back to the office. An excellent exhibition all round.”
Internet World is the perfect opportunity to meet suppliers, network, learn about the latest developments in Web 2.0 and, if time permits, to have a little fun – as Daniel seems to be doing in this picture, even if he does look to be both happy and terrified simultaneously!
A big effort from Cassandra on the marketing side of things ensured Web-Translations had an inviting ‘mobile office’ at the show, resplendent in company colours and finished off nicely with one of our aforementioned posters.
This year’s event was such a success for the organizers that next year’s exhibition will be held in a larger venue, the Grand Hall, at Olympia during the same week.
