Setupmy.com, who lower the cost of e-enabling business and aim to bring low-cost web sites to small businesses within the UK and around the world, are the latest company to see the benefits of an international presence.
Using Web-Translations’ International Blast service, Setupmy.com now have a Spanish micro-version of their English site. Monitoring visitors using the Google analytics code added to the site by Web-Translations, and enquiries via email, will enable the company to test the potential of a fully translated site with a minimum financial outlay.
The first steps in the project were to reduce the content to 500 words, remove irrelevant links and localise the images on the ‘index’ and ‘contact’ pages so they were linguistically and culturally suitable for the Spanish market. The next step involved Web-Translations sourcing two of their experienced, qualified and fully vetted in-country translators to work on the translation and then the proofreading of the text.
In order to make the newly translated pages as findable as possible in Spanish search engines once translated, manual search engine submissions were carried out and 4, good quality in-bound links were generated to help raise awareness and drive traffic to the site.
The finished micro site, whilst welcoming international customers and giving them an overview of setupmy.com, also makes the business appear international with very little effort.
